The path to 'sustainability' (a word that is nowadays abused and often misused) involves a series of concrete choices. Choices that Rosa Splendiani has made over the years, making them structural and forming the basis of its product development.

Rosa Splendiani is scrupulous in its selection of raw material suppliers. We choose to source only from certified, controlled and environmentally sustainable sources (teak wood from state-controlled forests with strict standards of access to the supply chain). 2. Valuable furniture products that last over time

A product Rosa Splendiani has always been a guarantee of quality and durability.

The decision to focus the production of our furniture on the higher end of the market (in terms of quality, much more than price) is linked to the desire to create a long-lasting product that does not have to be thrown away or replaced after one or two seasons.

Many of us associate ecology only with the 'recyclability' of a material. Very important indeed, but it is only one aspect to consider when talking about long-term sustainability.

Few, however, consider the fact that a furniture product with a long life- one that does not deteriorate and retains its value (material and immaterial) and function almost unchanged - should be a pillar of any sustainable business.

3. Using the materials that nature offers us

An ecological choice distinguishes us from the start: Rosa Splendiani Indeed, it is the brand par excellence of Rattan.

An aquatic plant that originates and grows in the forests of Indonesia (and South-East Asia in general) thanks to the subtropical climate that favours very rapid growth.

In just a few simple steps, rattan is used to produce the ultimate weaving fibre: flexible, robust and, by its very nature, highly resistant to weathering.

Rattan and its analogues and derivatives (kubu, manao, wicker) are absolutely ecological (including the harvesting process, which is carried out manually and sustainably using local labour) and 100% natural.

4. Limitation of plastics in packaging

We only use real Indonesian teak wood from legal sources and certified sustainable forests.

Teak is theoutdoor essence par excellence, one of the most valuable and resistant woods, thanks to its natural oiliness, it has the ability to renew itself and self-lubricate.

With the passage of time and the seasons, the typical honey colour of teak wood tends to turn silver, due to the natural oxidation of the outermost layer of the surface exposed to atmospheric agents and UV rays.

But teak wood always remains structurally intact and unassailable, as solid and sturdy as the first day.

This material, besides being completely natural, is also 100% recyclable in every part.
